Was any one as irked as I was that garvil had to ask ari's permission to sit with Reah. When Reah was standing right there as if her opinion did not matter. I know she is 19 but man she is her own person. And yes my conscience is saying garvil did not really know Reah. But I do not want any bad habits to rub off on garvil.

I think that was more along the line of a boy asking his grandfather for permission ... at that age it is more of a matter of looking for the person most likely to grant that permission over trying to slight Reah. Gavril had just made a friend so I seriously doubt he had any intentions of alienating her.
The only thing I would have handled differently would be to gently remind him to ask Reah's permission as well.
Reading is a gift to yourself that you can share with everyone.
Garvil is still a child brought up to respect his elders and probably has been taught to request permission for anything outside the norm. Remember he is Gavin's son and Gavin is an old european vampire where manners are instilled from birth. Wait until Garvil hits his teenage years! Would like to see how Gavin handles this!!
