Nefrigar and the revealed Larentii relations

Ok, Since everyone has been so quite, I thought I would kick out a topic and see what kind of interest I generate :silly:

I have been rereading Demon's Dream quite a bit. One of the things I wanted to comment on is some of the Larentii revelations and to see if I am understanding them correctly.

1) Nefrigar and Pheligar are brothers. Pheligar is the younger. Kiarra did not know till then that Pheligar had a brother.

2) Nefirgar has at least two sons. Question: Is the mate who birthed them still alive?

3) Renegar becomes a nameless (awesome!).

4) From Connie's blog site God chart, the "powers that be" are below the nameless.
So does that make the Larentii and the Black Ra'ak "Powers that be"?

5) This is not Larentii related, but thought I would go ahead and mention:

Did anyone catch that Kiarra's name was Renee before she became part of the Saa Thalar?

Some questions that came from reading Demon's Dream on the Larentii:

Renegar mentions his son is a wise one and his great grandson is a wise one. Were their names mentioned in the past books? I am getting confused which Larentii is mated to whom or son of whom.

Shanalar the first female Larentii born in some a long time. By Deamon's Dream time she has twelve daughters. Six of them came to the big fight, so they were born several years back. The question is will we ever find out Shanalar's story? It may become a sub story of the twelve Saa Thalarr books Connie has mentioned in passing on her facebook (last months entry I believe). The other interesting story is how they no longer had females for so long.

Any other thoughts or comments people have on the Larentii?

J I think nefrigar has 5 sons as he had them before the larenti's restricting to 2 children came into place. Though I may be wrong about the number it is certainly more than 2

I don't think the larentii are actually part of the powers that be they are the "light" side equivalents to the black ra'ak of the "dark" side ( oh how very jediish) but both are part of the created race., consider the Larentii have a home world the powers that be and above don't seem to have a planet to call their home they seem consider the universes as a whole as their home.

Renegar is not a nameless one but a power that be as is Reah

Thanks for the info I wondered if he had more than two sons.

Ok. On the Powers that be, that makes sense that Ra'ak and Larentii are just really powerful created beings. Especially since Reah was able to remove the Ra'ak's time travel ability per her statement to the group later.

As to Renegar and Reah as nameless, at the end of Demon's dreams main battle when Reah is confronting the Rogue Ra'ak she states:

"Kirifin has a new supervisor and I have joined the Nameless Ones"

Then later Pheligar asks for confirmation from Belen: My son is a Nameless One?"

Belen replies

"Yes. And most deservedly so," Belen said. "As are Edward and Reah."

Lol J yup they are nameless ones not powers that be that puts them in the same category a Lissa . in fact Lissa, Ren,Reah and Edward all come under what could be called a subcategory of the nameless ones -the embodied nameless ones

That's a good thought. Embodied nameless versus someone like Belen (leader of nameless)

just had a bit of a thought the war of the gods could stem from the fact that some of them dont seem to have any contact with the created races. Gods like lissa, reah, edward all stem from mortal races so have an interest in seeing the created remaining.
