I always thought that Lissa was too concerned about harming Toff to do that. If she would have brought Redbird to LeathVeronis without the rest of the Fae and had to spend time with her in order to be around Toff, they undoubtedly would have fought. Lissa wouldn't have been able to do anything to Redbird without affecting Toff and it would not have been good for Toff (who was only 2) to constantly see these two women fighting, especially since with the bond he would have been on Redbird's side. Then when he grew up, he would have hated Lissa, who constantly fought with his mom and would not have been interested in getting to know her and rejoining her life. Plus seeing him not remember how much she loved him would have been a constant ache in Lissa's heart and she has enough of those.

good discussion all. maybe Lissa is better person than me. I would have whisked her away and compulsion would have been laid. :P

Got it on my mind to change my ways, but I don't think I can be anything other than me.

Considering the number of times Lissa has used compulsion ... I doubt it even occurred to her. In Lissa's mind it was probably either kill the bitch that stole my child or get far enough away, as fast as possible, that when I explode I don't hurt Toff in the process.

It's funny how logic often deserts us during high stress. /shrug
