Yeah, I can't wait until all the people Teeg has under compulsion get released, he is so screwed.

Is it wrong that the idea of Teeg getting what he deserves and Griffins sorrow and Norian getting the boot all make me feel downright giddy.

:D

I think the rest of them are redeemable, given time and lots of groveling.

It's really hard to write a story where everyone behaves properly, I would think. The mistakes and meanness make the stories interesting.

@Alfred, of course, but that doesn't mean we don't want the characters held accountable in some way.

Example: Merrill screwed Lissa bad, I was happy when they got together, but also glad he was miserable and treated her like she deserved for a long time before it happened. He needed to balance the harm done....

This isn't bout the writing, the writing is awesome, and yes, the protagonist suffering adds to the story a lot. That doesn't mean the characters that cause the suffering should get a free pass though.

The infamous three, Teeg, Norian, and Griffin. I just don't see them ever suffering or doing enough good to balance the scale verse the harm they caused. I could be wrong though, we will see what happens.

  • Griffin has always been fine other than to family, which pretty much makes him his mother's son, but still appropriately Saa Thalar.
  • Norian... needs to learn strategies to cope with excessive OCD. He ain't right, and may wind up the focus of another story where he might find some healing. Who knows? Orrrrr.... He could be the Mighty Mind and be totally messing with everyone. :P
  • Teeg has already made his bed, I think. It just hasn't been delivered yet. Once he is isolated, he may begin to learn the value of friends, etc...
Ms. Connie has always pulled an interesting story out of all this imperfection, making us rage and laugh as she wills. :)

And she tells me stories about Opal... :)
