Yes it is, she compelled him to remember his vacation happily and not to search for her or wonder about her again. Come the end of the chapter he is doing exactly that. Also, through that book, in fact always when one of the vampire lessons is taught there is an event which perfectly displays that lesson. The one on compulsion had a twist at the end with Tony. I missed it the first few times I've read them but there again I wasn't looking specifically for it. I only noticed it now because since noticing Tony had grey eyes I've been taking close notice if everything concerning him.

Yeah, I didn't think he looked for her until she contacted him about Winkler and Weldon being arrested, which means she made contact after the date first. After that I am not sure if the compulsion would still be in effect.

I could have missed it though, I wasn't looking for it when I read it, I am doing a reread as well, I read the first book last Friday.

Either way I don't buy him as the mighty, maybe he can't be compelled, but if that's true he bluffed his way through Gavin's questioning and orders not to try to bed Lissa. Also like they said in the lesson, it is common enough that they have rules for it. It could be his elemeyan blood that negates it somehow.

Of course all that happened off page, so who knows.

And lastly, since I don't buy the idea there is a good chance it's true lol

As the mighty mind Tony just does not work for me ...

1) ALL humans that are immune to compulsion become King / Queen Vampires ... seriously Tony with that type of power would make Norian look laid back.

2) The Might power curve is epic ... Tony, not so epic.

3) I can see one of the Mighty hiding in plain sight but think support characters not main characters ... getting that close to Lissa or Reah or Ashe ... and not getting caught or outed???

Out of all the Mighty's, I believe the Mighty mind maybe knew what he or her were from the start and made show nobody would notice him or her.

I'll buy they figured it out quicker, maybe made less of.a fuss, or was less noticeable.

The last book made it clear they were all born without knowledge of what they are, granted it was the purple bad guy that said it......
