We have to wonder about the mindcloud spell thing is what's truly causing this behavior from Wylend and/or Tory. I really, really want to believe that someone put some crazy mind mojo on them to cause this behavior. Those that surround Wylend seem especially shocked, thus explaining the very dramatic responses to his behavior and actions.

I agree with Pony that this situation with Tory sounds similar to Lissa & Grey Houses situation with Melida Belancour. Marrying someone quickly and not for love is utter stupidity and opens the door to disaster.

While I have no love for Tory I don't think his claiming marks should be removed until a couple years down the road. You never know what will happen in the future and it would suck to have them removed and then they get back together and he has to place the claiming marks again!

I'm not sure if its Nefrigar or Kifirin that makes the comment about someone trying to harm or kill Reah. This person is causing events that none saw happening. It wasn't on the timeline. It sounds like someone with the power of Looking is manipulating events to cause harm to Reah. That means its someone equal or higher to the Nameless Ones. When Lissa tells Norian about the Legend of The Three she says that the Nameless ones and The Powers That Be were the lowest on levels beneath The Three.

I first thought Lissa could go back in time and retrieve Wyatt as she did for Prince Brandeline of Cloudsong in Blood Redemption. She pulled him out before he was killed. Except Brandelin living or dead did not affect the timeline so he got a second chance. Wyatt was not so lucky, his life or death most certainly would impact the timeline in his world. Not a word was said about doing this for Wyatt. So guess it would not be allowed in his case by the Powers That Be.

Just realized Cloudsong was destroyed when the core was tapped, guess Brandelin's second chance was cut short.

Lissa moved the "good" people from Cloudsong before it became comepletely unlivable. Brandelin and his brother were among the "good" people. Wyatt's death was part of Griffin's punishment for his mistreatment of Lissa.
Shadow was forced by his father and grandfather to marry Melida - he did not do so willingly.

I don't think we can lay Wyatt's death entirely at Griffin's feet.

- Wylend also pushed Wyatt into the position of Heir.
- Wylend's court saw that Wyatt was much happier as a healer yet said nothing.
- Wyatt himself never brought it up to Wylend or Lissa despite Reah's urging.

Yes Griffin's attitude did not help, but I think his death would be better attributed to multiple bad decisions over punishment of Griffin. (Note that I have not forgiven Griffin.)

Just a quick comment on the Zellar storyline. It was pretty awesome twist. I remember thinking during the previous book that Zellar died to easily and where was the big expected fight? Then to find out what he did to get out of it. He had not have premonition (that I remember) so he likely got with that Ra'Ak seer. That seer likely warned him. From there he had to have switched about three days before the room exploded.

On other topics, I agree, I loved her time with Flyer. He was awesome!

i think tory is under a cloud b/c when he is in the bar drinking after darletta walks off its says "he watched her go, blinking in confusion. perhaps the alcohol was finally taking effect". i think thats why he married her.
i also think wyatt will somehow come back thats why the mighty one send griffin back in time to save lissa and he says something about getting the one that killed wyatt so if griffin can change the time line maybe wyatt will still be alive
