readersam the whole anthology was worth reading. I bought it just for connies short but introduced me to some other authors i hadnt considered previously. most notably susan illene`s sensor series of which ive since read all to date :)

The Sensor books are awesome. I love those. I also just last week dug all my old Heinlein out of the boxes in my closet, and have been plowing through the Lazarus Long/World as Myth books. It has been like seeing an old friend

Well, I ended up buying the whole anthology and enjoying Connie's short story. Though I must admit the main female character confuses me. She runs away from one potential forced marriage only to marry someone else that she met only a few days and she still got married for political reasons.

Well, there is a difference between marrying someone you know is going to abuse you and marrying someone that you actually like, even if he does piss you off sometimes. Besides, she is a lawyer (in training) and has to follow the laws, being that she was caught between the two the option of running was taken off the table.
