What if getting marked by their mate also keeps them from changing? So far, all of the ladies who have changed...were single and unmated/unmarked at the time.

And yes - I know these are all theories, but theories are fun! Mostly I just really want more female high demons and i want to see them pissed off and unwilling to be mated. The gender got royally screwed and they're still treated as less than fully capable. I have little respect for Glenda, she seems to let her husband and his brother do whatever they want...instead of standing up for women's rights it's - omg we have girls? Lets marry them off when they're 18....

what kind of mother does that? The girls don't even get any say in who they're marrying.

That would require them to be AWARE of the issue.

They haven't had all that many females born in recent years, you only change things you're aware of.

That said, I don't buy the mark idea, it's a matter of adrenaline and need IMO that enables the change for females.

Well it's not like he was ALWAYS the high lord of the high demons.... And he's not stated as being all-knowing. He's the Hand of Wrath, not Wisdom.

God knows I remember people messing up and making errors all over the place because they didn't have info.
Case in point, they don't know what to do with Quin in the other series, and Lissa is also a Hand now.

Ah but who is to say that what is happening with Lexi isn't the mighty`s way of solving some of the High Demon inequalities.Remember both Bree and Hank were responsible for Lexi and Kord both being in San Francisco. Plus Hank has already made some changes in the High Demon races way of mating bringing out the females thifalifi may be his next step in improving the race.
